We are seeking an Assistant Quantity surveyor to work within a busy repair and maintenance contractor in the North Kent area. The role is permanent and head office based, available immediately, competitive salary

Working for a leading Main contractor, you will be working on a multi-year framework working closely with a regional housing association worth approx. £5 mill a year. Working within a stable commercial team, the role will be working closely with an experienced QS and be supported by several contract administrators. Works will be focussed on Voids & reactive repairs with occasional support into the special works and and maintenance teams. Working in a large, busy open-plan office, you form a key part of the commercial team liaising with operations and the end client daily to ensure the smooth running of the contract.

The role itself will involve supporting the commercial management of the incoming repairs, working as part of a team throughout the process from costings, managing quotations, placing orders, measuring works, closing out job and invoicing clients to monthly reporting (via CVR's) ensuring additional works are raised and agreed, Paying subcontractors/trades and generally ensuring the smooth running of the schemes commercially whilst maintaining the client relationship. This is a fast-paced role with approximately 10-15 jobs closed out each week.

This is a newly created role to cope with the growing value of the contract and will be a long-term appointment with over 10 years remaining of the framework.This is a permanent role, paying a competitive salary & overall package including an 26-day holiday, enhanced pension scheme, private healthcare Plus multiple other company incentives.
