Interim Commercial Accountant | Outskirts of Maidstone | Up to £65k

Our client is a well-established and successful privately-owned business based in the outskirts of Maidstone, who are looking for a commercial accountant to join the team on a 12 x month fixed-term contract. The person in this role will ideally be able to gain a thorough understanding of the business through building working relationships at all levels within the company.


Key responsibilities:

Creation of financial models and templates for product analysis throughout the business

Understand and challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent, and supportable

Build costing models to gain as much value from non-finance data as possible

Prepare weekly P&Ls for the business, with detailed variance analysis.

Ensuring the consignment tracker reconciles to the finance system and packing sheets.

Ad hoc projects and duties as required.


The ideal candidate:

Will be fully qualified – ACA, ACCA or CIMA (candidates qualified by experience will be considered)

The ideal candidate will have a commercial background and be used to working with non-finance stakeholders

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to positively influence peers and build rapport and relationships

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and inquisitive by nature
