Our client who is an Insurance Broker is looking for an Account Handler to join their expanding private health insurance team in the Hendon, NW4 office. The purpose of the role is to assist the private health insurance team as an account handler/ broker.
Main Duties:
* Handling personal medical insurance for individuals and family policies.
* Provide key support in relation to the sales and maintenance of both new and existing health insurance policies.
* Processing premiums for renewals & mid-term adjustments.
* Working closely with clients to ensure they have the correct insurance policy in place.
* Preparing, organising and issuing quotes/policy documentation for clients including accompanying correspondence.
* Preparing summaries of quotes obtained from the market for comparative purposes.
* Creating new electronic files for risks and electronic filing of communications.
* Monitor and check policy documents for accuracy.
* Obtaining policy documents utilising insurers portal systems etc.
* Obtaining claims information from insurers.
* Taking calls and liaising with markets and clients.
Essential Skills Required:
* Previous experience handling private medical insurance.
* Strong insurance knowledge.
* Excellent IT skills, including, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work with senior members of the organisation and external agencies with confidence.
Desirable:
* Good organisational skills.
* Ability to understand, interpret and simplify complex information from a variety of sources.
* Ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy.
