Working within the public sector you will be required to support the Environmental Health Team in the role of Food Safety Inspector.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Carry out Food Hygiene inspections/surveys in the district alongside other statutory functions with the Food & Safety Team.
* Gather evidence, writing letters and taking enforcement action
* Ad-hoc duties to support the wider team
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
* Ideally registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board and hold a relative qualification.
* Demonstrable knowledge, experience and expertise in relation to Food Safety.
* Relevant experience of Food Safety and enforcement.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to convey and receive information accurately with tact and diplomacy.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload
* Able to travel within the district
This is a long-term temporary role requiring an immediate start, offering 37.5 hours per week.
