Our client is a well-established leader in the business services sector, known for delivering excellence and innovation. They are currently seeking a talented and driven Management Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary to permanent basis.
Your new role
As a Management Accountant, your core duties will include:

* Monthly Reporting:
* Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
* Post monthly journal entries, including accruals and prepayments
* Conduct P&L reviews with variance analysis and commentary in line with group finance policies
* Balance Sheet & Compliance:

* Review and reconcile key balance sheet accounts regularly
* Manage VAT returns and intercompany balances to ensure statutory compliance

* Audit & Controls:
* Prepare audit schedules, respond to external audit queries, and provide supporting analysis
* Partner with the Finance Controller to design and implement robust financial controls and systems
* Cash & Banking:
* Oversee daily bank reconciliations
* Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts for review and submission to Group Finance
* Asset & Forecast Management:
* Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
* Support quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations
* Collaboration & Oversight:
* Work closely with administrative and support teams to meet monthly deadlines
* Supervise the Accounts Assistant and contribute to team development

What you'll need to succeed

* Ideally a qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Part-qualified or qualified by experience will be considered.
* Proven experience in management accounting
* Strong analytical, communication, and IT skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt in a dynamic environment
