My client is a school, based just outside Horsham. They are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

The role will have responsibility for providing a wide range of month end and transactional accounting requirements, alongside the overall production of management accounts to include analysis and commentary.

In more detail the role will:

- Ensure monthly financial statements are produced for all budget holders and ensure the Academy has quality financial information to support decision making.
- Proactively work with the Head of Finance to ensure budget holders are supported to resolve any concerns or difficulties with their financial performance.
- Preparation of the annual budgets and medium-term financial plan including ongoing budget management with key stakeholders
- Ensure accruals and pre-payments are updated accurately, working alongside the finance team members to ensure day to day transactional tasks are accurately  

Applications are sought from candidates either formally qualified or actively studying, ideally with experience of with working within schools in a similar role.
