Overview
An expanding firm of Chartered Accountants in Brighton is seeking a NEW Payroll Assistant to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a firm that values career progression and offers genuine development opportunities.
This role is full-time Monday to Friday with hybrid working.
Salary depends on experience and qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties
Process payroll accurately and on time from start to finish.
Create and maintain payroll records for multiple clients.
Calculate part-month salaries and holiday pay.
Manage statutory payments and process P45s.
Liaise with clients to clarify calculations and resolve queries.
Administer client pension schemes across multiple providers, including setup and monthly uploads.
Use payroll software including Sage, STAR, and Xero.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and HMRC requirements.
What we're looking for
A successful candidate will have some previous experience in payroll processing. You’ll be confident using Excel and payroll software, able to work independently after training, and comfortable communicating with clients. You must be within 1hr commute of Brighton.
