Vehicle Body and Mechanical Fitter
  Up to £19.68 per hour + PLUS holiday accrual

Premier Work Support are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Body and Mechanical Fitter for our prestigious client based in the Swanley area.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

- Routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on vehicles.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and bodywork faults.
- Completing mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and drivetrain components.
- Undertaking bodywork repairs such as panel replacement, welding, fabrication, and cosmetic finishing.
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and safety inspections to DVSA standards.
- Attending on-road breakdowns when required and carrying out safe roadside repairs.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and well-organised.
- Working collaboratively with the engineering team to minimise downtime and keep the fleet running smoothly.



The Ideal candidate will have:

- Experience as a mechanical fitter, body repair technician, or similar role (PSV/HGV experience ideal but we're happy to train anyone with car experience).
- Trained to NVQ level 3 in Motor Vehicle Engineering.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and confidence working on commercial vehicles.
- Competence in bodywork repairs.
- Ability to diagnose faults using manual and electronic methods.
- Understanding of workshop health & safety practices.
- Full UK driving licence (PCV licence is desirable but not essential).
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach.

This will be 45 hours a week.
