We are seeking a passionate and industry-experienced Lecturer in Hairdressing to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of hair programmes. The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Hairdressing qualification and have experience in barbering. Ideally, you will also have at least one year’s teaching experience.

Using your industry knowledge to unlock potential, you’ll support learners to develop their practical skills, creativity and professional standards in a realistic salon environment. You will plan and deliver effective lessons, assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.

With a strong understanding of current hairdressing and barbering trends, techniques and industry expectations, you will help prepare learners for successful careers in the sector. You’ll be an excellent communicator, a team player and able to manage deadlines while maintaining high standards of delivery.

The Role:

Where you’ll work: This role is based at our NKC Dartford College.

Your hours: 29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (0.8 FTE).

Please note there will be a requirement to work one late shift per week (until 19:15pm) on either a Tuesday or Thursday. 

Your pay: £38,049 to £45,445 per annum (pro-rata) full time equivalent, dependent on qualifications and experience.
