Supply Chain Administrator
  Up to £27959 per annum
  Maidstone, Kent
  permanent,full-time


We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Administrator to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role covers purchasing, planning, stock control, logistics and general administration, helping to ensure materials are available and production runs efficiently.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-3:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)

The Role

You will provide administration support across the purchasing, planning and logistics functions, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure orders, materials and deliveries are managed efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities include:

* Raising purchase orders and monitoring outstanding deliveries.
* Chasing suppliers and communicating any supply issues.
* Processing stock receipts, invoices and purchasing documentation.
* Maintaining accurate supplier, stock and purchasing records.
* Monitoring stock levels and investigating any discrepancies.
* Supporting the Planning team with production planning, raw materials and customer orders.
* Supporting Logistics with deliveries, collections and transport queries.
* Coordinating parcels and other deliveries through approved couriers.
* Assisting with customer queries, complaints and corrective actions.
* Collecting information and assisting with regular reporting.
* Using company systems to update records and resolve queries.
* Supporting audits and quality requirements.
* Assisting with improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
* Providing general administrative support to the wider team as required.

Essential Requirements

* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Excellent administration and organisational skills.
* Ability to understand instructions, technical information and specifications.
* Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage competing tasks.
* Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
* Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.
* Ability to work towards personal and team targets.
* A positive, proactive approach to work.
* Commitment to following Health & Safety procedures.

Desirable

* Previous experience within purchasing, planning or supply chain.
* Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
* Previous logistics or procurement experience.
* Experience using stock management or purchasing systems.

Full training will be provided, so this role would suit someone who is bright, organised, detail-focused and keen to learn, with the ability to quickly pick things up and take responsibility for their workload.

You will need to be hardworking, proactive and comfortable working in a busy environment, with a strong focus on accuracy
