The role: You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our helpline – the first point of contact for people in need of support.
You will be in charge of the helpline team, providing them with direction, instructions and guidance. You will also be responsible for creating an environment of trust, open communication and creative thinking to motivate and inspire them. Monitoring and evaluating the helpline will also be a big part of this role.
As manager, you will be able to shape the way that this service is run and influence the many external organisations Porchlight works with.
This role requires:
Strong listening and communication skills
The ability to work under pressure
The ability to lead a team and get the best from them
Strong communication and relationship skills with people from a range of organisations
Experience of managing internal quality and audit processes.
