The role: In this role you will be responsible for delivering tailored employment support and advice to a caseload of participants suffering with mental health problems to support them into employment. The role will be suited to someone who can support in reducing mental health barriers whist increasing wellbeing and social independence. This will include both 121 support and group work to identify and address their barriers, while achieving an increase in work related skills and employment outcomes.
What you need: As well as having experience of working with disadvantaged people, the role requires someone with a good attitude and knowledge of the IPS employment model. You will be responsible for empowering participants on the program with the skills that they need to not only gain but then hold down long term, paid employment.
The post is jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund until 2021
The role will require you to:
-Manage a caseload of participants who face significant barriers to employment
-Develop individual employment plans with participants
-Provide 121 support through a participants journey into employment and then support them in work
-To work in partnership with all local agencies such as DWP / JCP, work programme providers and training organisations.
-Be able to engage employers with confidence about the IPS service and our service users.
