The various hours contract Health Centre Nurse will join an experienced and established team of nurses who contribute to the provision of healthcare for all boarding and day pupils and who support the First Aid treatment of all members of the School community. Health care is provided over a 24 hour period, 7 days a week during term time.

Reporting to the Senior Nurse and Health Centre Manager, key responsibilities include providing medical services to all pupils, members of staff and any school visitors on site, providing confidential support to pupils and staff and other health advice as appropriate, promoting health education throughout the school population, providing and offering education on sexual health matters, maintaining accurate, confidential and contemporaneous medical records, and during this time of pandemic providing care within our isolation unit.

This role would be suitable for a qualified and experienced Nurse, on Band 6, who is confident working both within a team and alone, and who is able to work under a flexible arrangement whereby they could be called upon at short notice to cover shifts within our Health Centre or isolation unit. All Various Hours nurses are fully inducted and trained into the routines of the School Health Centre.
