Purchase Ledger Clerk

Remote, 1 day a week office based in Wimbledon

Up to £40k per annum on a 3-month FTC with possibility to extend

Required: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Start date: ASAP

Overview:

You will be working for a large company who supply to a diverse and demanding customer base within the Wimbledon community.

Reporting into the Accounts Manager, you will provide Support on implementation of Workday including understanding of impacts on new processes as well as support Accounts Manager to create payment runs.



Daily Duties include:

* Logging invoices received via email/post
* Processing invoices for payment
* Sending out remittances to suppliers
* Check all supplier statements back to ledger/invoice logs to confirm accuracy
* Set up new supplier entities in the general ledger
* Confirm all new/amended bank details for suppliers
* Liaise with internal customers/external suppliers to resolve queries

Sound interesting?...you must:

* Experience of working in Accounts Payable
* Understanding of robust accounts payable processes and effective controls
* Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices (desirable)
* Strong IT skills including use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word)
* Have experience of Workday (beneficial but not essential)
* Clear written and oral communication skills
