The Best Connection are currently recruiting in partnership with John Lewis PLC to recruit multiple 3.5t Van Drivers to join their team in Dartford on a temporary / ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with an excellent employer!
The delivery team is the face of the brand. As part of a 2 person crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is made with the highest level of customer service.
There are 2 shifts available:
AM shift 06:00 - 17:00 pay £11.00 per hour
PM shift 10:30 - 21:30 pay £11.32 per hour
Shifts are available Monday to Saturday.
We are looking for hardworking, reliable and friendly candidates who are comfortable offering great customer service.
Responsibilities of the 3.5t Van Driver
Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all task are carried out in a timely and professional manner and prepare to return home.
Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Requirements of the 3.5t Van Driver
3.5t driving experience
Cat B licence
Verifiable references
