Sales Administrator
Are IT literate with word-processing skills, and familiarity with a Windows environment?
Do you have an interest in working in the fresh produce industry and in a trading environment?
Based in Kingston
Up to 28k PLUS 23 days holiday and a contributory 3% employer pension scheme!
Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm and 1 Saturday in 3 (7.30-11.00am) which will be paid as overtime
Start date: Asap!
Overview:
A rare and exciting opportunity to join one of the leading premier fresh producer providers. Our client is looking for an organised and proactive administrator to provide admin/ clerical support to the Sales team ensuring the systematic organisation and maintenance of the IT and paper-based information flow that is essential to the efficient and effective movement of produce.
Sounds interesting?...Daily duties include:
· Input of sales data on IT package; monitoring of stocks and resolution of related queries; collection of prices and input onto system - this requires the development of professional telephone-based relationships with both customers and depots
· Creation and maintenance of files, whether computer or paper based on products and suppliers; compilation and issue of correspondence (based on guidelines)
· Checking, collation, and timely handling of invoices passed for payment - including any follow up will be a significant part of this role
To be successful in this role you'll:
· Have good time management skills and can give evidence of working to deadlines
· Be familiar with the use of office equipment including fax, photocopiers
· Have good organisational skills and show orderly, systematic, and tidy ways of working
· Are accurate in your work, demonstrating attention to detail
· Can demonstrate an assertive but not an aggressive approach to working with colleagues
· Can show initiative and an ability to see a job through to its conclusion
· Have excellent customer service skills
· Can focus on the task in a busy environment
· Have the ability to work as part of a multi-task team
· Have a flexible approach
· Are proactive in suggesting improvements in the effective operation of the section.
· Experience in the use of Spreadsheets (preferably Excel) would be an advantage
· Experience of / an interest in working in the fresh produce industry and in a trading environment
· The ambition and potential to develop beyond the initial requirements of the job
