Overview:

A rare and exciting opportunity to join a fantastic company as a Finance and Admin Officer.

The Finance and Admin Officer will be working with the Managing Director for the effective and efficient running of the Foundation Finance Department, working within the policies and procedures laid down by the Board of Trustees.

Sounds interesting?...Daily duties include:

* Responsible for the processing/allocation and recording of all income and donations received (using Sage line 50 Accounts), including setting up and maintaining DD instalment plans.
* Responsible for raising sales invoices, receipts, statements and credit control, as required. Chasing any outstanding debts.
* Ensuring all cashing and is banking is done on a weekly basis.
* Responsible for payment of all supplier's invoices (ensuring authorisation), Bacs payment and maintaining proper financial records.
* Collate and recheck the monthly Fee Earners Invoices and Volunteers expenses claims.
* Provide remittances and statements required by other service provider. Resolving supplier's queries.
* Responsible for reconciling Debtors and Creditors Accounts
* Responsible for all Journal, Accruals, and Depreciation Entries.
* Assisting with the year-end audit ensuring all financial system comply with statutory and other requirements e.g. (SORP, GAAP and Charities Act).
* Supporting the Managing Director with other general admin tasks.
* Assisting reception department - with answering the phones, making, amending, and cancelling appointments within the Clinic Office diary. Covering Reception in clinic as and when needed
* Assisting with the monthly Gift Aid preparation.
* Any other duties including ad hoc duties as be requested.

To be successful in this role you'll:

* Part-Qualified Accounting qualification preferred
* Computer literate must have extensive experience working with financial packages, in particular, Sage Accounts. Must also be familiar with Excel, Word
* Diligent, flexible, and ability to work both as a member of a team and as a sole finance expert with some support for specific tasks.
* Knowledge of and ability to comply with all specific charity accounting regulations and SORP codes of practice.
* Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
* Ability to communicate sometimes detailed financial information to others.
* Organised and detail focused.
* Self-confident and self-motivated.
