Are you passionate about the voluntary sector?

We are looking for someone to head our experienced development team in a leadership level role. You will build and nurture relationships with potential new funders, commissioners and stakeholders, and manage a small team delivering community and strategic development activities.

As Head of Development, you’ll attend engagement meetings, Local Strategic Partnerships, conferences, forums and networking events and build relationships with Health and Social Care partners and others. You’ll follow new leads and promote Imago’s offer to secure business opportunities in line with our values and strategic goals. It’s essential that you can actively engage with all levels of stakeholder and develop long-lasting sustainable relationships built on trust and respect.

You’ll effectively lead and manage the team to deliver objectives and meet targets, and carry out performance management activities, including supervision and appraisal, ensuring staff reach their potential. Additionally, you will research additional funding and community fundraising opportunities, and support funding proposals, grant applications and legacy donations.

Applicants should have leadership experience or potential, and be able to demonstrate involvement in development, project planning and staff management in the voluntary sector. You’ll need to be creative and innovative with strong collaboration and partnerships skills; and be able to demonstrate engaging and succinct writing, with excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills.

The post is based in Tunbridge Wells with opportunities for hybrid working. Car driver essential.
