Role overview
We are seeking an experienced and organised Transport Supervisor to join our team. As an integral member of the transport department, you will oversee and coordinate the daily operations. The Transport Supervisor will actively contribute to the department to identify improvements and develop new initiatives. You will work with the transport team to promote our core values that we are inspired by perfection and dedication to service, as we endeavour to exceed our customer expectations. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, safe and timely delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant transportation regulations.

Responsibilities
• Supervise the transport team, including drivers and drivers’ mates
• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily transport schedules and routes
• Ensure vehicles are maintained, serviced and compliant with safety standards and legislation
• Use the transport management systems to optimise route planning
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle logs, maintenance and driver hours
• Enforce compliance with health, safety and legal standards
• Investigate and resolve delivery issues or complaints promptly
• Ensure appropriate resources (people, equipment etc.) are available to meet planned activity levels.
• Record and report all vehicle and driver incidents and accidents in line with company policies and procedures
• Keep up to date with, implement and adhere to CPC and Tachograph requirements.
• Ensure drivers are fully trained and motivated to deliver excellent customer service, to exceed our customer expectation
• Follow company processes relating to the transport operation and debrief drivers in accordance with the Company requirements.
• Assist in the recruitment of transportation staff as required.
• Ensure monthly reviews for the team are completed in a timely manner
• Regular and open communication with drivers on shift matters and working processes.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with our Drink Warehouse UK Staff at all depots.

Key Skills
• Preferred valid and up to date Transport/Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Clean UK driving license.
• FLT licence advantageous
• Previous experience in transport planning and staff supervision is essential
• Proven organisational skills, including planning and problem solving.
• Previous experience delivering excellent customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
• A conscientious, proactive and positive approach to duties.
• Flexible working attitude.
• Good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft word and Excel.
