Part Time Communications School Manager



Permanent, Part Time & Term Time plus 2 weeks in holidays



£37,000 - £43,680 (Full time salary) plus 8 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, 8% pension, generous CPD, cycle to work, free lunches and supportive encouraging environment.



Office based, Twickenham, limited parking - recommend using public transport



Monday to Friday, 8am - 2.30pm (30-hour week) - may be some flexibility on this in the future

Overview:

Seeking a well-organised and professional Communications Manager to contributes to the overall strategic vision of the school. You will be self-motivated and driven to deliver the school's internal and external communications strategy by implementing and embedding systems, processes and procedures to help streamline channels and improve communication.

Working closely with the Marketing and Community Partnerships Manager and Head of Admissions to ensure that the overall approach to communications is consistent for this successful, flourishing, forward thinking independent school.

Sounds interesting?...Daily duties include:

* Establish an internal communications strategy and introduce a communications policy
* Ensure all procedures, processes, news, initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to all staff
* Measure the effectiveness of the strategy and seek continuous improvement and technology advances
* Work closely with other departments e.g. HR, IT, academic to develop proactive and effective comms
* Review existing channels and develop new and innovative ways to improve external communications
* Be a Brand Ambassador on behalf of various stakeholders and ensure that communications are consistent
* Contribute to the development, evaluate, embed and improve use of all school systems and support consistent working practices for ensuring for data validity (including Firefly, Website, ParentMail, Email, MS365, School calendar, booking systems, signage, notice boards and social media), focusing on end user accessibility and experience.
* Document the school's resources, channels and access instructions across all systems and platforms
* Define and agree cascading responsibility for the maintenance and integrity of all communication channels and systems.
* Routinely collaborate with Marketing and Community Partnership Manager to align internal and external messaging and ensure that internal audiences are kept updated
* Produce high quality communications and assist in the response to crisis communications
* Manage a rolling communications programme utilising school communication channels
* Support the Head's Personal Assistant with communications and access to communication channels.
* Support the Marketing and Community Partnerships Manager and with developing relationships across the community and represent the school at meetings and external events.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

* Experience working in a similar role, education industry desirable not essential
* Strategic development and business plan implementation
* Experience working at management level
