Immediate Start Credit Controller (Initially 6 month FTC)

Hybrid (3days WFH, 2 days Office based)

Overview:

Supporting our clients London office, on a fixed term basis for an initial period of 6 months.

This role will sit within the finance function and will involve setting up, managing and reporting on the credit control function as follows:

* Reporting to the Finance Director and Revenue Accountant on a weekly basis on all aspects of credit control.
* Assisting the Revenue Accountant and Project Controllers by providing credit control support to ensure receipts are within the payment terms set to clients, as well as support with other specific matters such as retrieving Payment Certificates, resolving Purchase Order issues etc.
* Building an understanding of different client problem areas, to establish and maintain best practice for resolution.
* Resolving client queries by liaising with relevant team members and timely following up where necessary.
* Setting up and monitoring emails chasers backed by telephone calls.
* Maintaining a digital log book/tracker detailing all calls made, email communication, contacts, and payment dates, etc.
* Sending out monthly Aged Debtors statements to clients.
* Producing Aged Debtors reports showing debtor balances, amounts chased, summarising recent actions, agreements reached and carrying forward previous notes
* Preparing Pro-forma Invoices (Applications for Payments) and Credit notes where required



To be successful in this role you will have…

* 3-5 years credit control experience within professional services sector
* Strong Microsoft skills including excel, word, and outlook
* Experience of using Sage Line 200 or Line 50
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work
* Professional and calm manner over the phone
* Positive approach to problem solving
* Good standard of written and verbal communication skills
