I am recruiting for a HR Manager for a role located in Swanley. This position will include travel with occasional overnight stays across the UK as and when needed, This role is fully office based and a CIPD qualification level 5 or 7 required.
You will have full autonomy within this role and will ideally have experience with ER cases, Policies, Recruitment, Inductions, Union negotiations and Apprenticeship programmes. Reporting directly to the CEO, and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure all HR tasks are undertaken in accordance with employment law, company policy and ensuring any risk to the Group businesses is assessed and minimised plus advising the key stakeholders the best HR route for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support on full range of HR activities including policies and conditions, absence management, employee reward and performance manage
- Identify, design and implement strategic HR projects in consultation with the CEO/Directors
- Build excellent working relationships with employee`s and management
- Provide advice and support to managers in the recruitment of all staff
- Provide advice to managers on performance management processes including hands on approach to investgations, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Represent the company on employment tribunal issues or other ad-hoc matters
Skills and Knowledge;
- Proven generalist experience including the ability to work at both strategic and operational levels
- Extensive knowledge of UK and EU employment law
- Proactive and practical approach to HR
- Detailed knowledge and skilled in handling ER issues such as discipline and grievance and industrial relations
- Strong interviewing skills across all levels of roles
- Ability to motivate and organise a team
Experience;
- Worked in a manufacturing/FMCG multi site organisation
- Committed to the successful management and development of a team of people providing support and direction
- Experience of working cross functionally
- Project planning from inception to implementation and management
- Experienced and competent handling TUPE and redundancy situations
- Experienced in working with unions/collective bargaining
