My unique international client based just outside Canterbury is currently enjoying a period of growth and expansion and they are keen to bring in a Purchasing Assistant to join their expanding team on a temporary basis with a view to becoming permanent. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the company having the stock available to meet their customers` demands in full and on time whilst meeting the stock KPI`s.
The role will involve providing front line support to the Finance Director and Procurement Manager and ensure the smooth running of daily office procedures. You will be expected to deal with purchase invoices, raising orders, dealing with suppliers and customers, negotiating prices and delivery dates and monitoring stock levels.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and be able to report to stakeholders and senior management.
My client is looking to fill this role as a matter of urgency so you must be available immediately or at short notice.
Due to my clients location, having your own transport would be preferable.
