We are seeking an experienced and driven Research & Development Manager to lead a small team on a permanent basis. This role will be instrumental in developing and enhancing the company's products and services, supporting ambitious growth plans within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage new product development projects from concept through to completion
* Design, test, and develop innovative products
* Interpret R&D briefs and ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget
* Collaborate effectively with all areas of the business to ensure design considerations are fully explored
* Provide regular updates and reports to the R&D European Director and Dirctors
* Offer technical support to internal departments and customers when required
* Chair and participate in design review meetings
* Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless product implementation

Experience & Qualifications

* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
* Relevant work-based experience or apprenticeship
* Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical design principles
* Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
* Desirable knowledge of PLC programming

Working Hours

* Monday to Thursday: 08:45 - 17:00
* Friday: 09:00 - 16:00
