Background of department/role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join an Admin team of five people providing administrative support to forty members of the Student Wellbeing Team at Christ Church.
In this role you will play an integral part in key day-to-day operations of a very busy team.
The successful candidate will have a strong administrative background in offering admin support to a number of people and will be able to work both independently and collaboratively building effective relationships within the department and across the University to achieve their goals. You will need to feel comfortable covering a wide range of tasks including appointment bookings, student records, phone enquiries, supporting meetings, data inputting and collation, purchasing. An ability to work quickly and accurately is essential.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deal with a wide range of people. This role will suit an organised and detail-orientated individual with developed skills in using collaborative IT platforms including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Excel. The ability to prioritise and manage your own workload is essential and to operate as a team player, keeping admin colleagues and the wider team up to date with progress on a range of tasks.
To be successful in this role you will need to be positive about continuing professional development and open to training for the specific systems and processes used in our departmental work.
This role will entail information handling of a confidential nature, so we are looking for someone with discretion and a sound knowledge of GDPR and information handling.
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role will entail campus attendance in agreement with your line manager. This will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken. The Student Wellbeing Service is open to calls between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and administrators are expected to cover these business hours.
