Background
Our Estates and Facilities Department plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the appearance and functionality of our properties, providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors. The Painting and Decorating team is responsible for ensuring all areas are finished to a high standard.
We are currently looking to recruit a qualified Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be City and Guilds qualified and will have demonstrable experience in all aspects of preparation, repair, and decorative finishing. A strong commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety standards and relevant company policies, procedures and safe systems of work are essential for this role.
Experience in surface repair preparation, and the application of paints, varnishes, stains, or protective coatings using a range of tools and techniques is required. The ability to work at heights using appropriate access equipment such as tower scaffolds is also necessary.
Applicants will be able to demonstrate their practical skills alongside good communication and teamwork abilities. They must be reliable, professional, and motivated, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a consistently high standard. A full driving licence is essential for this role.
