About the Department

The Global Engagement Office provides strategic and operational leadership in delivering Canterbury Christ Church University’s international strategy. Working collaboratively across the University and with partner institutions worldwide, the team develops, manages and enhances international partnerships that support high-quality transnational education (TNE), student mobility and global engagement.

The team works closely with Academic Schools and Professional Services to ensure our partnerships deliver an excellent experience for students, staff and partner institutions, whilst supporting the University’s strategic ambitions for internationalisation.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Partnerships Officer to join our Global Engagement Office.

Working closely with the Global Partnerships Manager, you will provide operational support for a portfolio of international partnership institutions, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for partner organisations and coordinating activity across the University.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Academic Schools and Professional Services, including Admissions, Student Records, Assessments, Quality, Digital Learning, Finance and Marketing, to ensure our partnerships operate effectively and deliver an excellent student experience.

The role also provides opportunities to contribute to new partnership developments, operational improvement projects and the ongoing enhancement of our international collaborative provision.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and relationship-focused professional who enjoys working with people from different cultures and coordinating activity across multiple teams.

You’ll be educated to degree level (or have equivalent professional experience) and have experience working in higher education or another complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will be confident analysing and interpreting data to support operational decision-making and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Experience of international partnerships, collaborative provision or transnational education would be advantageous, as would knowledge of UK higher education processes.

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is Flexible and connected (Professional Services) which means Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders.

It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
