Background of department/role

An excellent opportunity to join our dedicated and collaborative Accounting, Finance, and Economics team in the School of Business, Law, and Policing, at Canterbury Christ Church University, working to provide outstanding learning experiences and outcomes to our students on Accounting & Finance, Finance & Investment, and Business Economics courses, commitment to growth and development to our staff community in research, leadership, enterprise, knowledge exchange and/or community of practice.

As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, you will play a key role in delivering specialist knowledge of Accounting and Finance and an ability to teach across levels to students on both specialist and generalist courses. Providing high quality and future prove management of modules.

We are looking particularly for individuals who can contribute to the following modules:

Audit and Assurance
Taxation

Essentially, being able to provide pastoral and academic advice to students, taking a proactive approach to implementing established quality assurance processes and contributing to the design and implementation of quality enhancement initiatives.

Demonstrating creativity and innovation in the effective planning and delivery of seminars, workshops, tutorials, dissertation and project supervision, and other forms of learning opportunities. This may include face-to-face, blended, virtual, corporate/post-experience and international delivery. The ability to provide academic leadership in the development of new modules and programmes is essential for appointment at Senior Lecturer level. You are expected to commit to the university’s sustainable futures goals and align with the university values.

You will have a Ph.D. (or equivalent standard) and preferably with a professional qualification.

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this academic & student facing role is flexible and connected. Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.
