Background of department

The Product Marketing Team sits within the Department for Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications (MARC).

The team helps attract and engage prospective students by bringing the University’s courses to life. Working closely with academic Schools and other colleagues, it develops joined-up marketing that highlights what makes our courses distinctive, showcases the student experience, and supports recruitment goals.

The team is responsible for developing compelling product-level marketing activity, ensuring course information is accurate and engaging, and delivering insight-led communications that help prospective students make informed decisions about their future.

What you’ll be doing

We are looking for a Product Marketing Lead to join the team and help shape how prospective students discover and connect with our courses.

You will act as a marketing partner for the Academic School of your responsibility, building a strong understanding of the subjects, graduate outcomes, and key selling points. Working with academics, students, and professional services teams, you will gather insights and stories that bring courses to life.

You will create and maintain subject-level content across course pages, digital campaigns, prospectuses, CRM communications, and external listings. You will ensure all messaging is accurate, up to date, and aligned with brand and compliance standards.

You will also help coordinate marketing plans and campaigns for your School, working with academics, designers and digital teams to produce engaging content. Using data and insight, you will monitor performance and improve how courses are positioned in a competitive market.

In addition, you may support wider recruitment activity, including Open Days and Offer Hold Days.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a creative, organised, and collaborative marketing professional who is confident working with multiple stakeholders in a busy environment.

You should have experience in marketing, communications, or content roles, with strong writing and editing skills. You will be able to adapt messaging for different audiences and turn complex information into clear, engaging content.

Strong organisation, attention to detail, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities.

You will be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable using insight to improve marketing activity.

Experience with content management systems, CRM tools, or higher education marketing would be helpful but is not essential.

Most importantly, you should be motivated by helping prospective students understand their options and supporting the University’s recruitment success through clear, engaging marketing.

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible. Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis (generally you will be expected to be on campus 2 days a week) and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders.

It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.

Closing date for applications: 16th August
Interviews are to be held: Week Commencing 24th August
